How Selling Your Vehicle Works, Step by Step
Cash for cars is a three-step service: you describe the vehicle, we come to it and give a firm offer in person, and you are paid cash on the spot when we collect it. Each step below states what happens at that step and what is decided there.
The three steps from first contact to payment
The sequence is the same on every vehicle we buy.
- Step 1
You tell us about the vehicle
Call or text (780) 844-7317 with the year, make, model and condition, and where the vehicle is sitting.
- Step 2
We come to it and give the firm offer
The firm number comes from seeing the vehicle rather than from a phone description. Same-day pickup in most cases.
- Step 3
You are paid at collection
Cash on the spot, at the moment we collect the vehicle.
What each step decides
Step 1 does not produce the final number. A phone description identifies the vehicle and lets us explain the four factors the offer is built from: vehicle weight, the scrap-metal market price, the salvageable parts still on it, and its year, make and condition.
Step 2
Step 2 is where the number becomes firm, because it is the first point at which the vehicle has been seen rather than described.
Step 3
Step 3 is the step at which money changes hands. Payment is cash on the spot at collection, not afterwards.

What has to be in place before step 3
Two requirements sit outside the condition of the vehicle, and neither is affected by it.
Proof of ownership
Proof of ownership is required on every purchase.
Liens
A vehicle with an active lien must have the finance cleared first.
What is included at step 2
Free collection inside 80 km
Collection is free on every vehicle we buy, to any city or town inside our 80 km radius of Edmonton, and it is not deducted from the offer.
The vehicle does not need to run
The vehicle does not need to run for any step of this process. All vehicle types and physical conditions are accepted.
