What We Buy and What We Will Not Tow Away
Cash for cars in Edmonton accepts all vehicle types and physical conditions and has them towed away free, and declines two things that have nothing to do with condition. Both lists are below, so you know before you call.
Vehicle types accepted
These types are confirmed as accepted.

Physical conditions accepted
Physical condition does not decide whether a vehicle is bought. Every one of these is confirmed as accepted.

- No platesA vehicle with no plates is accepted.
- On an acreageA vehicle sitting on an acreage is accepted.
- Buried in snowA vehicle buried in snow is accepted.

Physical condition does not change whether a vehicle is accepted. Free towing is included on every vehicle we buy.
The two things we do not buy
Both are documentary rather than physical, and neither can be worked around.
A vehicle with an active lien. The finance has to be cleared first; until it is, the vehicle is not free to be sold.
A vehicle with no ownership documentation. Proof of ownership is required on every purchase, and without it the sale cannot go ahead.
Competitors publish what they accept and stop there. These two are the questions that actually end a sale at the kerbside, so they are published here instead.

That is a status question rather than an eligibility question, and it has its own page. Read insurance write-offs.
What any accepted vehicle is worth
Every accepted vehicle is valued on the same four factors: its weight, the scrap-metal market price, the salvageable parts still on it, and its year, make and condition.
