What we do with the vehicles we buy

Safe dismantling and sorting of parts and metal at the recycling workshop.

We dismantle and recycle the vehicles we buy, in-house and with partner recyclers. Parts are dismantled and the material is recycled.

For the end-of-life handling question in detail, cited to Alberta authorities rather than to us, read what happens to your scrapped car.

When metal is the value that remains

An operator assessing a metal-value-only vehicle with its parts gone.

A scrap vehicle is one where the parts are gone or beyond recovery, so the metal content is what remains to value. A vehicle you have stopped repairing but which still holds its parts is an end-of-life vehicle rather than this class, and it is valued differently.

How the offer is built on a metal-value vehicle

The same four factors apply: vehicle weight, the scrap-metal market price, the salvageable parts still on it, and its year, make and condition.

The scrap-metal market price moves week to week, which is why no quote can be permanent.

The firm number comes from seeing the vehicle rather than from a phone description. For the method in full, see what your car is worth.

Collection and payment

Collection is free on every vehicle we buy, to any city or town inside our 80 km radius of Edmonton, and it is not deducted from the offer. Read the detail on free towing and pickup.

The vehicle does not need to start or drive. Free towing is included on every vehicle we buy.

You are paid cash on the spot, at the moment we collect the vehicle. Same-day pickup in most cases.
